About Pandoh Dam in Kullu
The Pandoh Dam is a dam built on the Beas River in Mandi and is situated at a distance of ten kilometers from Manali. It was built with the primary purpose of generating hydroelectric power. This dam is managed by BBMB (Bhakra Beas Management Board). This magnificent Pandoh Dam in Kullu has a manmade lake which is created by the dam. The water of this dam is used to generate electricity at the Dehar Power House and is finally released into the Sutlej River. It is located at a distance of around sixty kilometers from Kullu and one will need four hours in approximation to start from Kullu and complete visiting and sightseeing of this place.
The breathtaking views that the surroundings of the Pandoh Dam offer are too precious to miss. This is the perfect location to stop by and click some great pictures while traveling to Manali. The greenery of the place and picturesque view rejuvenates the soul.
